Hello, and welcome to my April Demonstrator Training Blog Hop, if you’ve reached me from another blog, I’m Dianne (The Purple Rose Stamper) from the UK. I hope you enjoy my blog and then please do hop along to the next one on this list.
This month I decided to make 4 cards mainly using 2 stamp sets, DSP from one set and 1 punch…. below are the results.
The first was a female birthday card using one of my favourite colours - Melon Mambo. The card was straightforward using the pretty flower image from the Birthday Jubilee set then layering DSP and card, finishing off with Happiness Blooms enamel dots.
I then decided on a male card but I think the result could be for either male or female. I heat embossed copper onto the copper foil and silver onto the silver foil. Having embossed the flower image onto an oblong piece of copper foil I put each end into the Pretty Label punch to shape the 2 edges then used dimensionals to raise the image. I finished the card using Metallic Pearl embellishments.
Next up is what I call the ‘sunbeam’ card even it isn’t yellow/orange!! This card came about by accident as I was cutting little strips off the width of the dsp and wondered how I could use the waste strips. After cutting a few more came up with this design. I used white embossing powder for the Happy Birthday image on Basic Gray card then cut it out using the Pretty Label punch layering it over Basic Black card.
Lastly I made the pot of flowers. I cut out the flowers from the DSP and again used the strips of green dsp for the stems, although this time I cut them in triangle strips rather than oblong shape. Once in place I then added Wink of Stella on the flowers and finally added the word 'friend' on the pot.
