Welcome to this months International Blog Highlights. The theme is 'Thank You' and my entry this month is inspired by the virginia creeper on the wall outside my kitchen window which, at the moment, is in the process of changing colours from green through red, orange and yellow before they fall to the ground. So my card below reflects those colours.
Using the ash leaf stamp from Loyal Leaves stamp set I inked leaves in Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Garden Green and then fussy cut them all out.
The card base is Cherry Cobbler and the 'thank you' from the Best Year stamp set is inked in Pumpkin Pie onto Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
I do love this card with the Cherry Cobbler card base but wasn't sure if I should put a different coloured insert to contrast so I made an identical card with a Crumb Cake inlay but decided I preferred my original card..... what do you think?
