Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights - January 2021

Welcome to this months International Blog Highlights and the theme is 'Thank You'.

Thank you for dropping by today.  This months card is created using the Simply Succulents bundle.  Last month I showcased a card using the largest die from this set and today I'm focusing on the stamps as well as a couple of the other dies.

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock I started by stamping the largest succulents image in an outline of Old Olive ink and then edged the succulents with a light Highland Heather blend and used a dauber to shade the remaining succulent image with Pear Pizzazz ink.   The foliage at the bottom of the image was coloured using the light Old Olive blend.

Using the corresponding die for that succulent image I centered the die on a piece of Highland Heather.  In addition I stamped the pot using Soft Suede ink on Sahara Sand cardstock, finishing the pot by stamping 'thanks' in Early Espresso ink.

I then stamped another succulent image in Old Olive ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White card, die cut and then finished by fussy cutting closing the inked outline so there was no white border then coloured with light Old Olive blend.  This was placed over the top of the pot so that it looked like the foliage was draped down the outside.

I mounted the highland heather card with the succulent cut aperture onto the stamped image raising it using dimensional, then glued the pot flat onto the card, this was then glued onto a card base of Pear Pizzazz.

I finished the inside of the card by stamping a line of succulents in Highland Heather on a whisper white insert.

I do hope you like my card and, if so, I would love you to vote for me.  Please vote by clicking on the button below where you will be taken to the gallery of cards and to vote for me you need to click on the heart at the top right of the picture.
