Demonstrator Training Blog Hop - March 2020

Hi, and welcome to my March Demonstrator Training Blog Hop, if you’ve reached me from another blog, I’m Dianne (The Purple Rose Stamper) from the UK.  I hope you enjoy my blog and then please do hop along to the next one on this list.

This month has been busy and so only one card. I was lucky enough at a recent team training day to win a set of Neutral ink pads and so my inspiration this month was to make a card using colours only from that colour family.  As I started I imagined a card using the beige and browns using the Painted Poppies stamp set.  Below is what materialised…..  yes, I still used neutral colours but only Night Of Navy, Merry Merlot and Mossy Meadow.   Using the daubers I sponged the 3 colours as a background then stamped the poppies by inking the top half of the stamp in Merry Merlot ink and the bottom half in Mossy Meadow ink, thankfully it worked first time.  The sentiment comes from Beautifully Braided.  The card looked a little flat to me so added the background image from Painted Poppies to the base card and heat embossed with silver and I think it works well.

Late addition…… Although I said only one card this month I decided to try and quickly create the same card using Smoky Slate and Basic Black for the poppies and sentiment and copper embossing powder then used Basic Black and Soft Suede card layers.  I’m quite happy with the results, hope you like them both also.

Products used:-

Card:                   Merry Merlot, Whisper White, Basic Black, Soft Suede

                           Smoky Slate
Stamp sets:        Painted Poppies, Beautifully Braided
Misc:                   Versamark, Silver and Copper embossing powder

I hope you’ve enjoyed these two cards, and please do hop along to the next Demonstrator on the list to see all the wonderful creations.
