Recently I made this card for a special friend's birthday but thought it would be ideal as a beautiful thank you card. Stamping the largest peony image with slate grey ink for the outline it was then coloured with the dark and light petal pink blend pens. Blend pens were also used for the stalk and leaves using the light Just Jade and the light Granny Apple Green respectively.
I selected, what I thought was, the most subtle pattern from the Peony Garden dsp, cut it to 10cm x 11cm and glued to the largest square. A smaller piece of the same DSP sized 10cm x 3cm was glued to the front small oblong. Adding the 2 peony images, the first to the larger square area using dimensional and the second to the small oblong by glueing the end of the stalk. Using the 'thank you' from Borders Abound I stamped the sentiment on a piece of petal pink card 7.5cm x 1.7cm and glued it on a piece of whisper white card 7.8cm x 2cm, using dimensionals placed it central to the card covering and securing the bottom of the stalk. A pearl was added under the 'thank you' to finish the card.
