Demonstrator Training Blog Hop - September 2020

Hello, and welcome to my September Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.  This is the last Blog Hop of the current training programme and it has been wonderful to Hop over the last year with some amazing Demonstrators from around the world and of course Kylie who is so inspirational.  If you’ve reached me from another blog, I’m Dianne (The Purple Rose Stamper) from the UK.  I hope you enjoy my blog and then please do hop along to the next Demo on this list.

A couple of weeks ago I entered a colour challenge using Poppy Parade, Misty Moonlight and Old Olive.  I decided these were perfect colours for a Christmas card and after I submitted my entry for the challenge I set about making a few more.  The cards mainly feature the Joyful Holly stamp set and then one of the stamp from Borders Abound.

For my first card I inked the christmassy stamp from Borders Abound in Poppy Parade.  Inking the holly outline in Old Olive I then stamped off twice to get the lighter shade for the leaves.  Adding Wink of Stella on the leaves and rhinestone basic jewel to add a little sparkle, and to finish by adding the sentiment in Misty Moonlight. The card base is Misty Moonlight with a mid layer of Poppy Parade.

The second card is similar but thought I would use Misty Moonlight for the outline of the holly which I don't think looks too weird - what do you think?

I love how the top of the next card developed with the Misty Moonlight swirls and the traditional green holly, but to be honest I'm not sure about the bold Gold Foil cut out Happy Christmas - I think it's a bit too large for the remaining space on the card, but I will be recreating the top on another card with maybe a smaller sentiment.

Finally, below is the card which I entered into the colour challenge, probably the plainest card of them all, but I think it's elegant and would be happy to receive it at Christmas time.  I think I've just fallen in love the Joyful Holly stamp set and will be making many more cards with this set in the coming weeks.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my cards this month and please do hop along to the next Demonstrator on the list to see all the wonderful creations.

Below is the product used in making my cards.
